StarTimes UPL: Kyetume suspends two players indefinitely due to match-fixing allegations


StarTimes Uganda Premier league side, Kyetume FC have indefinitely suspended three players over allegations of match-fixing.

The players suspended are Joel Mutakubwa and Julius Ntambi.

The suspension comes after Kyetume FC surfered a 4-2 defeat to lowly Kitara FC on Tuesday evening in a game where Kyetume finished the game with 9 men.

Joel Mutakubwa was sent off in the first half for head butting an opponent while Julius Ntambi voluntarily walked off the field of play before the game could end.

The Jackson Mayanja’s coached side sits in the relegation zone with 19 points garnered in 21 games thus far this season.

They were also eliminated from the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the Round of 32 stage  after lost to Express FC 3-2 on aggregate after two legs.
