Debutant Enock Walusimbi was sent off as his Express FC side claimed a 1-all draw against Onduparaka FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at the Greenlight Stadium, Arua on Saturday afternoon.

Frank Kalanda and Kabon Living scored penalties for their respective sides in either half to ensure the game ended in a draw.

The visitors, Express FC started the game better and it took them only 10 minutes to find the back of the net as talisman Frank Kalanda was fouled in the forbidden area by Mahdi Ajobe. Kalanda stepped up and placed the ball past Augustine Opoka in the Onduparaka’s goal.

In the 18th minute, Onduparaka had a chance to level matters, but Murushid Juuko made a timely off-line clearance to deny the Caterpillars.

Express FC were forced into an early substitution when an injured Ibrahim Kayiwa was replaced by Charles Musige in the 22nd minute.

The game went into the halftime break with the Red Eagles holding a slim 1-0 lead over the Caterpillars in Arua.

At the beginning of the second half, Express FC introduced George Ssenkaaba for goalscorer Frank Kalanda who was stretched off at the end of the first with a knock.

The decisive moment of the second half came in the 66th minute when Express FC skipper Enock Walusimbi handled the ball on the goal line to gift the caterpillars a chance to level proceedings and consequently got sent off.

Kabon Living stepped up and leveled matters with 24 minutes to the death of the game.

Despite both teams coming close to find the winner, the game came to a close with the points shared.

The Red Eagles finished the game with 10-men against Onduparaka FC for the third consecutive at the Greenlight Stadium, Arua.

The caterpillars will play Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) on Tuesday 8th, while Express are set to host the defending champions Vipers  SC.
