The semi-finals of the 2020/21 Stanbic Uganda Cup have been postponed until further notice.

The last four had been scheduled to be played between October 19th and 30th but according to FUFA Competitions Director Aisha Nalule, the fixtures won’t be played due to National Team engagement where several Vipers ans Express players are involved.

“The National Team preparations for Kenya vs Uganda and Uganda vs Mali are underway. Vipers and Express have more than 3 players in the training camp.” Nalule said before adding;

“Consequently, the Stanbic Uganda Cup matches scheduled to take place between 19th and 30th August have been postponed until further notice.” Nalule revealed.

This is also follows Vipers unwillingness to take part in the games as they claimed that they were in position to assemble their squad in that shortest period of time.

In the draw conducted two weeks ago, Vipers was pitted against Police FC while BUL was to take on Express FC.

This is the second time the Uganda Cup is postponed as it was for postponed in June due to COVID-19 pandemic.
