St Julian School – Seeta lifts maiden USSSA National boys Football title

Coming into the final with National glory at stake, the stage was set as two deserved giants battled for the Uganda Senior Secondary Schools Association (USSSA) boys football title on Sunday afternoon.

With history not being part of the conversation, Masaka City crowd came out to witness the best of the 2024 edition which had Amus College and St Julian on the menu.

James Ssekate was on top of his game scoring a brace in the 14th and 18th minute respectively to give the Mukono side a deserved lead in the opening half.

In the second stanza, Toto Majib sent off for handling the ball on his goal line after an intense attack only for Simon Wanyama to slot St Julian’s penalty home.

This meant that St Julian School SEETA won their maiden title and equally qualified for Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Associations (FEASSSA) Games in Bukedea.

Reaching this stage, both St Julian and Amus College eliminated Bukedea Comprehensive and St Mary’s School Kitende respectively on penalties.
