Skyview announce partnership with Boys’ Schools Cricket Week.

Skyview have announced their partnership with the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) as the title sponsor of the Boys’ Schools Cricket Week.

The Harris International product will inject a miximum of  Uganda Shillings 30 million (UGX 30 m) into the tournament with 5 million of the thirty 30 million going into the media.

The other 25 million will be used to organize the tournament and support the game of cricket.

This 2023 Skyview Boys’ Schools Cricket Week edition will be held in Jinja City and is set to start on the 26th August then climax on the 1st September 2023.

It will feature 16 secondary schools from across the country which will include Kololo SSS, Ndejje SSS, Dehli Public School, St John’s Kauga, St John’s Mukono , Busoga College Mwiri, Jinja SSS, Good Heart, Lords Meade, Kiira College Butiki , Masaka SSS, Ntare School, Nyakasu- ra, Kilembe SSS , St John’s Layibi and Teso College Aloet.

Speaking during the press launch, the Public Relations Manager of Hariss International, Ms. Ishta Atukunda said;

“It gives us immense pleasure to associate ourselves with the youth and flagship cricket competition for boys’ secondary schools in Uganda. The game of cricket promotes the values of teamwork and sportsmanship, and this partnership is a true testament to that.

She added, “Skyview be- lieves in pushing boundaries and going beyond the limits. With this partnership, we hope to inspire young minds to pursue their dreams fearlessly and live life to the fullest.”

The CEO of the Uganda Cricket Association, Mr. Allan Mugume also added a voice and said that;

“The Schools Cricket Week is the premium boys’ tournament which is used to select players to represent Uganda at age group tournaments and the purpose is to give the next generation an opportunity to showcase their talent as well as create long-lasting memories.” 

The tournament will expose some of Uganda’s best Cricket boys’ teams from all over the country battling it out for the top spot.
