SC Villa enter into patnership with FUFA Women Super League side

Shortly after missing out on Startimes Uganda Premier League excellence, SC Villa have strategically partnered with FUFA Women Super League runners up and FUFA Womens Cup Champions Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club.

SC Villa become the third Ugandan team to enter such a partnership after SC Vipers and KCCA FC who still hold shere hope of qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup.

This is a directive by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) that all Clubs that engage themselves in CAF competitions should have a womens team as cited by the CAF President.

The patnership talk is said to have started way before in the 2021/22 season when SC Villa held a couple of training sessions at St Gerald’s playground – the home ground of Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC.

SC Villa are set to help sponsor all the Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC’s away trips in the FUFA Women Super League but will retain their identity and also continue hosting matches at St Gerald’s playground in Lubaga.

Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club is a team associated with Uganda Martyrs High School, Lubaga where the larger percentage of the teams’ players are students.
