Sand Cranes qualify for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations

π’πšπ§π π‚π«πšπ§πžπ¬ have qualified for Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations that will be staged in Mozambique after overcoming Comoros over two legs on Sunday at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

Uganda National Beach Soccer Team, Sand Cranes won their second leg tie 4-3 to add to the first leg where they picked up 5-2 making a total of 9-5 on aggregate to get back to the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations .

The Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations will be played from 21stΒ October to 30th October 2022 in Mozambique.

Into the game, Nkuubi opened the scoring as Nicholas Mwere came off the bench to double the goals making up a 3-0 lead in the first half.

Comoros too didn’t seat back as the game came back in action for the second period, Chakra Moeva putting two in the back of the net just for Ismael Ahmed to complete the comeback.

Just as the game was nearing the end, Mwere who had left the pitch was once again brought off the bench to restore Sand Cranes lead.

This is going to be Uganda’s second successive time to play at the tournament after they featured last year in Senegal.
