Safari 7s: Rugby Cranes, Lady Cranes gear up for the tournament


The Uganda National Men’s Rugby team (Rugby Crânes) and Ladies Rugby team (Lady Cranes) will be in action on Saturday.

The two sides will be taking part in this year’s Safari sevens at the Rugby Football Union of East Africa grounds in Nairobi, Kenya

The tournament will start on 18th and climax the following day on 19th November, 2023.

In the men’s 7s, Uganda was placed in pool A with Shujaa, Red Wailers, SA All Stars and Tropic 7s.

Pool B has Germany, Morans, Samurai, KCB, Western Province Select

Uganda start off against SA all stars on Saturday at 9:36am, Red wailers at 12:08pm and end the day against Shujaa at 1:58pm.

For the women, they have one pool which holds a total of five women’s teams which include; Lionesses, Uganda, TUKS 7s, Cubs and Tropic 7s.

On Saturday the Lady Cranes (Uganda)will play Tropic 7s 8.30am, Kenya’s Lionesses at 11:04am then Tuks at 3:46pm.

On Sunday all teams will have one more group game before the semi’s as Uganda play Tropic 7s at 10:00am in the men’s and the women play Cubs at 11:50am.
