Lugazi Municipal came from a goal down to maintain their upward trajectory on match Day 4 of the Buganda Regional League as they edged Simba FC 2-1 at Namulonge.

An opening goal from Simba FC in the 36th minute had some Lugazi Municipal fans heads dipping momentarily only for the visitors to recover through Gerald Ogweti in the 48th minute.

There would be further joy when a late strike from Kaggwa James killed off Simba’s slim hopes for snatching an undeserved point in the 78th minute for Lugazi Municipal to cerebrate a twelve points lead at the top of the Ssezibwa group.

Simba FC remains in the 12th place with just one point from four games.

Elsewhere, Kampala University Masaka FC stunned Masaka City FC 1-0 in a highly rated local Derby played today at Gayaza playground. Ibrahim Kasinde threaded a defence-splitting pass to Kiyinji Ashraf who finished cooly after leaving Masaka City’s center backs swivelling as it the ball rolled through.

This win takes Kampala University Masaka FC to 9th place with four points from four games as Masaka City FC remains 13th with one point from three games.
