Despite the interference of rain, Charity CC emerged victorious by 9 runs, utilizing the DLS Method to their advantage.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Charity CC aimed to restrict Gahanga Queens to a modest total, displaying their strategic prowess on the field.

Gahanga Queens, however, exhibited commendable batting resilience, with notable contributions from Belyse Murekatete, who remained unbeaten with 26 runs off 23 balls, alongside Merveille Uwase and Shakila Niyomuhoza, who scored 11 off 8 balls and 12 off 15 balls respectively. Their collective efforts propelled Gahanga Queens to a competitive total of 68/4.

Rwanda Women’s National team captain, Diane Marie Bimenyimana, showcased exceptional bowling form for Charity CC, clinching 3 crucial wickets while conceding only 13 runs in her 2 overs, with support from Celine Umutoniwase, who claimed the sole remaining wicket.

Before the rain interruption, Diane Marie Bimenyimana also made a significant contribution with the bat, scoring 28 runs off 29 balls, before being caught by wicketkeeper Merville Uwase off Zurafat Ishimwe’s delivery.

Cathia Uwamahoro added 20 runs off 15 balls before the game was halted due to rain, with Charity CC positioned at 61/2 after 7.5 overs, ultimately leading to the match result being determined by the DLS Method.

Meanwhile, rain also affected other matches on the same day, leading to the abandonment of the game between Indatwa Hampshire Women and Gahanga Queens.

However, in the final match of the day, Sorwathe CC Women secured a dominant 10-wicket victory over Indatwa Hampshire Women, solidifying their position at the top of the RCA Women’s T10 League table with 5 points from 4 matches, including two wins, one draw, and one tie.
