Fred Wamani was the main man as he scored and assisted for Bugema University in their 2-1 win against Kampala University at Bugema on Tuesday afternoon.

Wamani netted breakthrough as early as the 3rd minute off a Kagoda Charles corner kick to beat Ozelle Brian at the near post.

Two minutes into the second half, Suleiman Ssentongo doubled the hosts lead after meeting Wamani’s cross to a one touch finish.

Kampala University through Nsubuga Benjamin managed to pull one back 7 minutes later with a powerful header off a corner kick from Ssembatya Sharif.

However as the game went on this proved to appear like a consolation for the visitors till the final whistle.

This victory meant that Bugema collected their first three (3) points of the season and go up to second below Gulu and above Kampala University in Group D.

On Wednesday 2nd October, Ndejje University will host Makerere in Ndejje at 3pm.

Youngster Shafik Kwikiriza among the 27 summoned onto Uganda Cranes squad for South Sudan double header
