Ndejje University secured 1-0 and fought win against hosts Kumi University to clinch a perfect start to the 2024/25 University Football League campaign.

Ebasu Clement netted the all important goal in the 37th minute for Ndejje to edge Kumi University 1-0 in Kumi  through a header after Christopher Hashakimana’s corner kick on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors are now level on three points with Makerere University in Group B who also registered a narrow 1-0 win over Victoria University on Thursday.

Victoria and Kumi remain pointless and will be aiming to record their first points in the second round of fixtures.

A Group D encounter between Gulu University and Bugema University will be played next on Sunday, September 22 in Gulu at 3pm
