Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) and two-time champions Makerere University Business School (MUBS) drew 1–1 in the Pepsi University Football League (UFL) in Mbarara on Wednesday.
Two second half strikes canceled out eachother as MUST’s Atuhire Emmanuel broke the deadlock in 50th minute after a blunder from MUBS’ goalkeeper Ayebare Hillary.
Mbabazi Joe Worrick levelled matters for MUBS off Joshua Biyinzika’s assist in the 78th minute.
A point apiece means that MUST and MUBS are tied at the summit of Group F after one game while new entrants Muteesa 1 Royal University are yet to play.
Two-time champions Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) will begin their 2024/25 campaign on Thursday, September 26 against Muni University in Nkozi at 3pm.
