StarTimes Uganda Premier League new entrants Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) Football Club have unveiled Paul Kibande as their latest addition ahead of the upcoming 2020-21 season.
The 27-year old joins the club from Doves FC, putting pen to paper on a three-year employment contract until the end of the 2022-23 season.
“We are very happy to have Kibande join our group,” said MYDA head coach Abdusamadu Musafiri who told the club website before adding,
“He has shown over a number of years that he is one of the best young strikers around. He has great technical ability and a strong character, so he is a good addition for the flying eagles.”
Kibande joins the Flying Eagles with a wealth of experience having played for the defunct Victors FC as a teenager before joining African Lyon (Tanzania) in 2013. He also featured for SOANA (current Tooro United) in 2014, Entebbe Young FC in 2015, BUL FC in 2016, Kangemi All-Stars, and Nzoia Sugar (Kenya) in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
MYDA has so far signed five players in the ongoing transfers window after Isaac Doka, Yukubu Ramathan, Waiswa Ramathan, and Waiswa Kasango all joined the club ahead of their first top-flight season.
FUFA Big league topscorer Ibra Nsimbe and midfielder Eric Mutebi have also renewed their contracts with the Malaba Town club.
