Kitara FC: club gains promotion to StarTimes UPL after defeating Kiboga Young

Western Region Kitara FC has gained promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after defeating Kiboga Young in the StarTimes FUFA Big League Promotional play-off final played at the FUFA Technical center Njeru.

Kitara FC achieved admission to the top tier of Ugandan football after a 1-0 win in the FUFA Big league playoff final played at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

Brian Mululi’s 55th minute goal gave the Mark twinamasiko coached team victory over Richard Makumbi’s Kiboga Young who failed to capitalize on their chances for a leveler.

With this victory, Kitara FC have sealed promotion to the Uganda Premier League having missed out on this opportunity two years ago when they lost to Paidha Black Angels.

MYDA and UPDF are two other teams that moved from the FUFA Big league into the top flight of Ugandan Football.
