Park closing in on betPawa FSL Title

Park FC is edging closer to securing the betPawa Futsal Super League championship, needing just one more point to seal the deal.

This comes after an impressive performance by The Rangers against Kisenyi FC and FC Luzira’s setback against Nansana ASKA, where they failed to appear for the match.

Park FC, who are still unbeaten could potentially clinch the title as soon as their upcoming match against the winless Kawempe FC on Friday, April 19th.

In Friday’s match, Park easily defeated Kisenyi 5-2 in front of a large Somali crowd.

The Rangers took the lead as early as the third minute when Samuel Kalyango scored from a tight angle.

Park’s lead was doubled by Michael Abura in the 11th minute, beating Kisenyi’s goalkeeper Nsubuga Farouk.

The game went into halftime with Park leading 2-1 after Julius Kassaga scored for Kisenyi.

Shortly after the break, Derrick Walugembe made it three for Park, followed by Jalil Zimula extending the lead.

Abasi Muluya added another goal for Park before the game concluded, while Shafici Darir scored Kisenyi’s second goal.

With this victory, Park now has just four matches left in the season, with a maximum of 12 points available. Holding an 11-point lead over their nearest rivals, Kisenyi, Park only needs to secure one more point to stay ahead in the title race, even if Kisenyi wins all remaining matches.

In the only other game played on Friday, Michael Lubowa’s four goals helped Lubaga Grameen overcome Kampala Junior Team 6-3.
