Nyamityobora, Kitara and UPDF start second round on a high

The Startimes FUFA Big league Match day 9 resumed today with 6 games on the menu at the different playgrounds.

Nyamityobora FC, Kitara FC and UPDF FC all picked up vital wins while Rwenzori group log leaders Ndejje University were held at home.

In Masindi, Mululi Brain scored a hat trick to guide Kitara FC past struggling Doves FC at the Katusabe Doves stadium.

Mululi put the visitor ahead In the 20th minute before Doves’ goalie Yasir Arafat  levelled matters from the spotkick in 30th minute.

George Ssenkaba restored Kitara’s lead in the 38th minute to put the score at 2-1 at halftime.

7 minutes into second half, Mululi netted his second and Kitara 3rd after a Doves’ defensive mixup before he completed his hat trick in the 73rd minute.

Ronald Kirumira pulled a goal back for Doves FC from the spot later on in the game.

In Mbarara, Ivan Ahimbisibwe also netted a hat trick to guide Nyamityobora to a 4-1 home win over Kigezi HomeBoys FC.

Ahimbisibwe Ivan opened up the score early in the first half before Pate Wannock equalised for Kigezi just before halftime.

The 2 teams went into the halftime break with the scores level.

5 minutes into the second half, Ahimbisibwe restored Nyamityobora’s lead with a curling bally over Kigezi’s Manja Mori before netting his 3rd in the 69th minute.

Ebong Lameck added Nyamityobora’s 4th in the 87th minute.

Nyamityobora FC still sit 5th on the log with 13 points garnered in 9 games while Kigezi have dropped to 4th on the log with 10 points.

In Mukono, UPDF’s two first half goals were enough to collect all 3 against Kansai plascon.

Katende Ezekiel opened the score for UPDF in the 24th minute of the game before Kalanzi Fred doubled in the 42nd minute. Henry Kitengenyi scored for Kansai Plascon early in second half but wasnt enough.

UPDF have now reclaimed 3rd spot on the log with 17 points while Kansai sit 6th with 7 points.

In Ndejje,  Rwenzori group log leaders Ndejje University and relegation threatened New Villa played out to a goalless draw.

In Gulu, Paidha Black Angels FC and Kiboga young FC played to a 2-2 draw at Pecce Stadium,Gulu.

Choka Julius and Kidega Andrew scored for Paidha while Buchochera Jamaldin and Winju Raphael netted for Kiboga Young

Paidha now sit 4th on log with 12 points while Kiboga remains second with 14 points
