KCCA captain and first choice shotstoper Charles Lukwago made an uncharacteristic mistake to deny his side  a win against Express FC in a traditional derby played at Startimes Stadium,Lugogo on Saturday evening

After Vipers had lost all  three against URA on Friday, KCCA came in this tie hoping to maximize all the points in order to trim the Vipers lead to only 2 points but  Unfortunately defending Champions failed to capitalise on the Vipers slamp.

The Kasasiro boys started on a high note in a game played under cloudy weather at the Startimes Stadium, Lugogo with endless run over to Express defenders Martin Kizza, Issa Muzeyi Lumu, Arthur  Kigundu and Disan Galiwango.

28 minutes into the game, Express defender Issa Muzeyi Lumu pulled down youngster Anaku Sadat  in the box  for the center referee, Mashood Sali to grant the hosts a penalty spot.

Left back Mustafa Kizza stepped up  and he shot past Express goal keeper Mathias Muwanga to give KCCA a deserved lead after a series of serious attacks

Before a call for the first half break, KCCA custodian  Charles Lukwago made a mistake when he left his goal to close up on Eric Kambale on the right flank. Kambale easily won the possession from him  and passed to Daniel Shabena who trickeled KCCA defenders to shoot in goal without a goal keeper. Musa Ramathan did not do anything but handling the ball to deny conceding a goal before halftime. The junior graduate was red carded and a penalty  was awarded against him by center referee.

Frank Kalanda stepped up and did no mistake but neutralised KCCA FC lead before halftime.

This took the game into the break square with each side scored ounce.

On the return of the second half, KCCA made some 2 outright substitutes, Mike Mutebi withdrew Sekisambu for Poloto and Muzamir for Sadam in bid to look for impact and get a second goal.

In a struggle for Wasswa Bossa coached side to keep the momentum of the game, he made some changes where he bought in Isaac Doka Mweeru for Baker Lukooya in the 64th minute while Frank Ssenyondo paved way for Ivan Ocholit.

10 men KCCA continued to force for a winner but never found the edge as  Sadat Anaku, Muzamir Mutyaba and Kezilon Kizito all missing golden chances
