Nile Special Stout Rugby League: Action returns after the festive season


The Nile Special Stout Rugby Premiership will resume this Saturday, 11th January 2020 after a 28 days festive break.

Having returned for training last week, table Leaders and defending champions Hima Cement Heathens will host Plascon Mongers at Kyadondo rugby grounds, Kampala.

The defending champions humbled Makerere Impis 59-03 with Aaron Ofoyrwoth contributing 19 points and 7 conversions while Plascon Mongers lost 12-22 at home at the hands of Uganda Cup Champions Betway Kobs.

Hima Cement Heathens sit top of the log with 13 points in 3 games while Mongers have 10 in 3 games

Elsewhere, Uganda Cup champions Betway Kobs will travel to Makerere University to face Mulago Rams.
Betway Kobs sit 3rd on the log having garnered 10 points in 3 games while the Rams are second from the bottom, 3 points in 3 games.

Betway Kobs won 22-12 in Entebbe while Rams 5-3 lost to Toyota Buffaloes in the two sides last league game.

In Bweyogerere, Black Pirates are back at Kings park arena to face the bottom-placed side Makerere Impis after an incredible journey to Jinja where they faced Jinja Hippos in a fixture that they won comfortably by 13 points.

The first rugby premiership game of 2020 will see Warriors go up against Jinja Hippos at Legends, Kampala while Shell Rimula Rhinos will take on Toyota Buffaloes at the same ground later on the day.
