Kampala Capital City Authority Football club ( KCCA FC) head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi says the Kasasiro Boys have enough to make it past AS Kigali and progress to the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Kasasiro Boys host AS Kigali on Wednesday evening at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, a ground where they are winless since the stadium was opened.
“We are well prepared and almost all our players are fit enough,” Mike Mutebi said after KCCA’s last training before the game.
“We have enough to win this game and progress to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup,” he added.
The Kasasiro Boys lost the first leg 2-0 without even kicking a ball after CAF cancelled the game when the Ugandan side failed to raise the minimum required number of players for the game to take place due to the Coronavirus pandemic crisis that rocked their camp.
But almost all the players that were ruled out for the first leg due to COVID have now recovered from and are already in team’s camp at Paradise hotel in Kisasi.
Their opponents, AS Kigali arrived in Uganda on Saturday evening and are currently camping in Entebbe.
