Buwekula Ssaza has become the first side to secure a semifinal slot at this year’s Airtel Masaza Cup.
This is after they defeated Buluuli 3-0 on Monday at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
All those three goals were netted in the first half as Ismail Tambula got a brace while skipper Shafik Kakande got another to propel the Frank Mulindwa’s side to their first semis since 2018.
With 6 minutes into the game, Tamubula run onto Isaac Musiima’s pass to net his first before Kakande doubled the scoreline with a header after a wonderful cross by John Kasagga in the 25th minute.
Before the break, Tamubula made it three for his side with a well taken strike inside the area.
Meanwhile, Buddu will take on Kyadondo in the second quarterfinal of the day.
