Goalkeeper Martin Ssenkooto has joined the record Sixteen-time Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa.
The 23-year old joins the Jogoos on a three-year employment deal until the end of the 2022/23 StarTimes UPL season and becomes the Club’s fourth signing in less than a week after the capture of Andrew Kiwanuka, Meddie Kibirige and Goffin Oyirwoth.
In a press release from the SC Villa media team, Ssenkooto says joining Edward Kaziba’s side is a dream come true.
“I am very delighted to join this great club. Together with the rest of the team. We have an opportunity to show the world that we are the finest in the land,” Ssenkooto said before adding that, “Joining SC Villa is every player’s dream and I am happy that my dream has come true.”
Ssenkooto also says that Edward Kaziba and Kiberu are very good people to work with.
“I have trained with both Coach Kaziba(Head coach) and Coach Kiberu (Goalkeeping Coach) and they are great people to work with.”
Ssenkooto, who started his career at Super Cubs SA joins SC Villa after an impressive performance with Makerere University Business School (MUBS) in the Pepsi University Football League.
