The FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel (CDP) has finally concluded the case on the contested StarTimes Uganda Premier League match #102 between Maroons and Vipers SC that was held on Friday, 22nd November 2019 at the Luzira Prison grounds.
After investigations into the incident in which Maroons FC fielded an ineligible player in Hannington Sebwalunnyo who had accumulated three cautions (Yellow Cards) during the previous games and hence was ineligible to feature in the match against Vipers Sports Club, the FUFA CDP has concluded that Maroons lose the match by forfeiture.
The match ended in a 1-all draw following goals from Fred Amaku and a penalty from Fahad Bayo. However, Maroons FC will lose the match by forfeiture in accordance with Art. 19(19) of the FUFA competition rules as confirmed by a tweet from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations official twitter handle @OfficialFUFA
