In an innovative and transformative partnership to forge an Unprecedented growth, Lyca Mobile Uganda and the Uganda Cricket Association have united in an unwavering commitment to propel the growth of cricket, marking a significant milestone for both the sport and the nation.

Acknowledging cricket as a premier and soaring athletic pursuit, this partnership heralds a new era for the game.

Lyca Mobile has pledged substantial support, envisioning the sustainable growth of cricket from grassroots initiatives nurturing young talent to advancements in the professional leagues, showcasing seasoned athletes.

The timing of this collaboration is auspicious, coinciding with remarkable achievements by Uganda Cricket senior teams.

The Men’s senior team recently secured qualification for the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies in June, while the Women’s senior team, the Victoria Pearls, earned their spot in the World Cup global qualifiers taking place in Dubai later this year.

During the partnership launch, Mr. Jackson Kavuma, the Honorary Secretary for Uganda Cricket, and Madam Ritah Tinka Mbabazi, the female representative to the Uganda Cricket Association board, represented the cricketing body.

From Lyca Mobile, key figures presented included Vinaya Choudary Alapat – CEO Lyca Mobile Uganda, Allirajah Subaskaran – Founder and Chairman of Lyca Mobile Group of Companies, and Prem Sivasamy – Group Deputy Chairman at Lycamobile.

This partnership details will be disclosed later, however Lyca Mobile positions it’s self as a vital force in enhancing the overall skill set and level of Ugandan cricket.

The company will provide funds and access to international coaching experts for both the men’s and women’s teams.

As Cricket Uganda garners increased sponsorship as the game’s anticipation extends beyond boundaries, signaling a promising era for its growth.
