Lugazi Municipal extends winning streak to three as Kiyinda Boys stumbles


Lugazi Municipal FC extended their winning streak to three games after a 2-0 convincing win in matchday 3 of the Buganda Regional League against Kira United FC at Metha Stadium Lugazi.

Buga Moses put the hosts in the lead in the 35th minute before club talisman Gerald Ogweti blasted his 8th goal of the season in the 60th minute.

Lugazi Municipal maintains top spot with nine points from three games and remains the only side yet to concede a goal this season while Kira United drops to 5th place.

In Katonga Group, Kiyinda Boys FC suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Young Simba FC in a 2-1 loss.

Pual Oluja and Innocent Ignazio scored for Young Simba FC while Enock Sakku netted the only goal for Kiyinda Boys.

Elsewhere, Mukono Based Side Free Stars FC left it late to win 2-1 against Kampala University FC at UCU Grounds in Mukono, Simon Ssemaluula and Joreem Allan Opio scored for the home team while Simon Kalireku scored for the visitors.
