On Sunday, 3rd July 2022, Legends were crowned champions of the Light Academy Alumni League for a second consecutive time.
Even if they lost their last game of season to Mad Tings 6-1, Legends completed the season with 22 points in 10 games to be crowned season two champions at Galaxy International School, Lubowa.
The crowning ceremony was presided over by the Alumni Patron Bakyenga Bob who handed the coveted trophy and prize money to the winning teams.

Legends also won this prestigious trophy in the inaugural season which was played in 2019.
Galacticos, who finished second on the log were also awarded with their prize monies at the same event held in Lubowa.

Bliss’ Serugunda Edward also got awarded with a gong for finishing as the tournament topscorer with 18 goals in under 9 games.

Season three is expected to kick off later this year with more teams and entertainment.
About the LA Alumni League
The LA Alumni League is a school league that brings together old students of Light Academy Secondary Boys School in Uganda.
The league currently consists of 11 teams formed according to one’s year of senior six exit at the school.
The League was initiated in 2019 as one of the means to unite Alumni from the Wakiso district based school.
