LA Alumni League: Legends retains their trophy after Bliss loss to Les Royals

With a gameweek to go, Legends have defended and retained their Light Academy Alumni League trophy.

This is after Bliss lost 2-1 to Les Royals in a Matchday 10 fixture played at Ammars Sports Center in Bunga, Kampala.

The Legends will finish top of the log even if they lose their last game as they are four points clear of second placed Galacticos.

To the games on Sunday 19th June 2022, Legends got a 3-0 walkover win after Chiklops failed to turnup for the game.

Machete stunned Revolutionaries 3-1 while Hornets continued their good form by beating Mad Tings 2-1.

Now second placed Galacticos beat bottom placed Black Mambas 2-1.

The climax of this season’s LA Alumni League will be played at Galaxy International School on 4th July.

This season’s champion will take home a million shillings (1,000,000/=) and the first runners-up will claim five hundred thousand shillings (500,000/=).

About the LA Alumni League

The LA Alumni League is a school league that brings together old students of Light Academy Secondary Boys School in Uganda.

The league currently consists of 11 teams formed according to one’s year of senior six exit at the school.

The League was initiated in 2019 as one of the means to unite Alumni from the Wakiso district based school.

Legends are the defending champions of this league after they won season one unbeaten.
