Players at Mukono based side Kyetume FC are crying out for help after enduring a period of over three months without pay. The StarTimes UPL Club has not paid it’s players since February 2020.
A player who preferred anonymity revealed to The Touchline Sports that players are in a terrible state after going for 3 months without pay.
“We are in a terrible condition and scared of what could come next. We have not received any single coin from the club for the last 3 months yet we have expenses to clear,” he revealed to Touchline Sports
“The worst part is that some of us never received the relief food provided to us by FUFA so we don’t even have what to eat and feed our families,”
“We are begging our bosses to please come out and save us from this pickle situation,” He added.
It’s worth noting that the StarTimes Uganda Premier League was prematurely called off by FUFA due to the Coronavirus crisis that has halted all sports activities for the last 3 months.
