Kampala Junior Team Futsal Club ( KJT FC) have won it’s first Futsal Super League title after they secured two victories on a dramatic final day of the 2021-22 season.

They defeated Kisenyi FC 4-0 in their day’s opener before overcoming Aidenal School of Soccer and Art 5-2 in their last game of the day.

Their closest challengers, Park FC , also won both their games after thrashing both ASKA (9-0) and Kabowa Dream (10-0), meaning KJT claimed the title on head to head record.

Both sides finished the season tied on 33 points in 14 games but KJT had a better head to head advantage over the 2020/2021 Champions.

KJT goals against Kisenyi came from Abasi Kyeyune, Billy Nkata and Lamech Mwebaza while Kyeyune also netted a hattrick to inspire his side past Aidenal SOSA.

KJT becomes the fourth Futsal Super League champions since it’s inception in 2017.

Dream Team won the inaugural edition in 2018, Yeak Kabowa won the 2019/20 championship while Park won the 2021/22 title.

The 2020/21 edition was not played due to the Coronavirus pandemic that struck the whole globe.

KJT head coach Sembatya Mohammad has won his second Futsal Super League title as he was the man in charge when Yeak Kabowa won their title in 2019.

Sembatya also guided debutants Big Talent to the final of last year’s tournament, but unfortunately his side lost to Park.

Park’s Abasi Muluya finishes as the league’s topscorers with 34 goals in 10 games.
