Kenyans to officiate KCCA-AS Kigali CAF CC game

Kenyan Referees appointed for CAF game between KCCA FC and AS Kigali

The Confederation of African Football (CAF)  has confirmed that three Kenyan nations will officiate the CAF Confederation Cup first round second leg game between KCCA FC and AS Kigali next week in Uganda.

Anthony Juma Ogwayo will be the center referee and will be assisted by Oliver Omondi and Tony Mudanyi Kidiya as the first and second assistants respectively.

Furthermore, Ethiopian Tewodros Mitiku has been appointed as the fourth official of the game, while Malawian Patrick John Save Kapanga will be the match commissioner.

KCCA FC will host AS Kigali next week on Wednesday 6th January 2021 at a rented venue of the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, after their home ground, the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo wasn’t sanctioned by CAF to host continental games.

The Kasasiro Boys lost the first leg 2-0 without even kicking a ball when CAF cancelled the game after the Ugandan side failed to raise the minimum number of players required for a CAF game to take place due to the Coronavirus pandemic cases in their camp.
