Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC produced a composed performance to defeat She Corporate FC 2–0 at the Kawempe Muslim Playground, completing a league double over their rivals and moving to the top of the Finance Trust Bank Women Super League table.
Goals from Jovia Nakagolo and substitute Kevin Nanyunja, coupled with a second-half red card to She Corporate goalkeeper Molly Naava, ensured the Valley Warriors claimed maximum points in a decisive top-of-the-table clash.
The victory lifted Kawempe Muslim to 36 points, one point ahead of the Sharks, who dropped to second place with 35 points. The result also sealed a league double for Kawempe after their 2–0 victory in the reverse fixture away from home earlier in the season.
Kawempe Muslim started the match on the front foot and were rewarded with an early breakthrough in the 9th minute. Forward Jovia Nakagolo found space in the attacking third and calmly finished to give the hosts a perfect start.
She Corporate attempted to respond quickly and nearly found an equaliser when Sumayah Komuntale stepped up to take a free kick. However, her effort sailed over the crossbar, allowing Kawempe to maintain their advantage.
Nakagolo later had an opportunity to extend the lead but failed to convert after a promising attacking move from the Valley Warriors.
The game remained physical in midfield, and in the 40th minute, Jesca Namanda received the first booking of the match for bringing down Babirye Hadijah during a heated challenge.
Kawempe continued to threaten, with Asia Nakibuuka coming close to doubling the advantage with a powerful long-range strike that narrowly missed the target.
At halftime, Kawempe Muslim carried a 1–0 lead, having edged the first half through their early goal.
She Corporate returned from the break with renewed energy and almost leveled matters in the 49th minute. Rebecca Nakato delivered a dangerous free kick near the box, but Kawempe goalkeeper Saidah Namwanje produced a brilliant save to keep the hosts ahead.
The decisive moment of the match came in the 77th minute. She Corporate goalkeeper Molly Naava was shown a straight red card after handling the ball outside the penalty area while attempting to stop a Kawempe attack following a miscommunication with defender Sumaya Komuntale.

Reduced to ten players, the visitors struggled to contain Kawempe’s pressure in the closing stages.
Kawempe finally put the result beyond doubt in the 85th minute when substitute Kevin Nanyunja found the back of the net to double the hosts’ lead and ignite celebrations among the home supporters.
The goal sealed a commanding 2–0 victory and confirmed Kawempe Muslim’s dominance over She Corporate this season.
The win strengthens Kawempe Muslim’s position in the Finance Trust Bank Women Super League title race, as the Valley Warriors now sit top of the table with 36 points, narrowly a point ahead of their closest challengers She Corporate on 35 points.
