JACC is set to Host Avengers in Division Two final at their home turf Jinja SS Cricket Oval Tomorrow.

Notable both teams secured promotion to Division One and tomorrow’s game decides on who goes as champions.

Avengers return to the top tier after relegation last season, while JACC reaches this milestone for the first time since its inception in 1987.

In the semifinals, Avengers defeated Rounders by 53 runs, posting 132 all out in 42.1 overs and bowling Rounders out for 79.

Despite looking like the stronger side and having thorough preparations with practice matches, Rounders fell short and will have to try again next season.

JACC, one of Uganda’s oldest cricket clubs, earned their spot by beating Soroti City 58 runs.

They scored 214 runs and bowled out Soroti for 156. This promotion marks a significant milestone for cricket in the Busoga region.

What to Expect in the Finals:

With both teams finishing top in their respective groups—Avengers in Group A and JACC in Group B—the stage is set for an exciting final.

JACC remains unbeaten this season, while Avengers lost only one match in the group stages against Soroti City Cricket Club, underscoring their strength.

However, JACC will be missing national team player Kenneth Waiswa, who is currently in the West Indies for the T20 World Cup.

Notably, Waiswa also missed the semifinal last Sunday and this did not stop JACC from winning the match.

Avengers boast individual brilliance with the second best batter and bowler of Division Two, Christopher Kidega (152 runs) and Yashashvi Josh (11 wickets) respectively.

Playing at home, JACC will benefit from the home advantage and their familiarity with the Jinja SS Cricket Oval pitch, where most of their players regularly practice from.

The final will be a single 50-over match, promising a thrilling conclusion to the season.
