Kawempe Muslim School clinch third place at the CAF Schools Football Championship

Uganda’s representative Kawempe Muslim Schools came out third place at the CAF schools Football Championship on Saturday.

The Kawempe side managed this achievement after edging Tanzania 1-0 thanks to a Cynthia Kirenga goal.

Uganda got to this stage after losing out to Morocco at the semifinals as the opponents Tanzania lost to SouthAfrica.

SouthAfrica won the Ladies tournament after beating Morocco 1-0 on the final with Uganda finishing third as indicated above.

This means that Kawempe Muslim pocket a total of One hundred fifty thousand US dollars as cash money prize.

On the boys’ side, hosts Tanzania bags the trophy only for Guinea and Senegal to come out second and third respectively.
