Ugandan footballer Jamie Kisitu Nvule has announced his retirement from the beautiful game, cutting his career short at only 27. With Mbarara City FC being his last side.
In an emotional farewell message, Nvule expressed gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his journey, from coaches and teammates to fans.
“I’m saying goodbye to football with a heavy heart,” Nvule confessed. “My love for the game is unquestionable, but I feel this is the right time to hang up my boots.”
Nvule’s career took off at school level with Bulo Parents, progressing through the ranks to the Uganda Premier League, where he donned the colors of Soltilo Bright Stars, Mbarara City, and Onduparaka FC. He also represented Kitara FC, Kiboga Young, Kampala University, Uganda Martyrs University, Nateete Market, and Masaza Cup teams Buddu, Ssingo, and Buwekula.
The retiring footballer reserved special praise for his coaches, naming Emuloni Recoba, Mubarak Kiberu, Sadick Sempigi, and others who helped shape his career.
“I thank my family for standing by me through dark times and nightmares of bad injuries,” Nvule added.
“As I embark on a new life adventure, I thank everyone who’s been there for me through frustrations and triumphs.” Nvule concluded.
