There is no denying that the Futsal Super League has grown into a publicly-accepted brand and sport’s leaders have vowed not to rest on their laurels.

From attracting small playing numbers in one particular community, Futsal has come of age with teams from across the central region and match days that have at least eight clashes and boost of dignitaries across different sporting and social spheres that grace their events.

From Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) supremos like former president William Frederick Blick to current boss Dr. Don Rukare, Futsal have sought every platform to attract people to their fast-rising sport.

Match Day 4 – June 4th – will be another special day for the sport with Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) president Patrick Kanyomozi confirmed as the day’s chief guest.

Kanyomozi, a renowned Sports Producer, Analyst, Presenter and Commentator with Nation Media Group will steer over proceedings at the Old Kampala Arena.

“Having the USPA president at the games is one of the first steps Futsal Super League is taking to strengthen the ties with the media,” said Moses Wantimba, the Futsal Association of Uganda (FAU) Communications & Public Relations Officer.

“The media are and will be our longtime partners. We must work together since they are the No.1 promoters of our game. It is strong to note that the 2022 Futsal Super League is broadcast live on FUFA TV.”

There are eight matches lined up for Match Day 4 with table leaders Aidenal FC in the fray as they seek to tighten their grip on the summit when they lock horns with KJT and ASKA Nansana.
