FUFA Big League: Gaddafi takes on Maroons, Proline hosts Golola’s Tooro United in Lugogo – A look at all matchday two games


The FUFA Big league returns this weekend, starting on Saturday 27th March with eight fixtures on the card. Gaddafi FC game with Maroons is perceived to be the bigger fixture of the matchday while the Proline and Tooro United’s clash also promises to produce some fireworks.

Arua based Calvary FC will get matchday two underway on Saturday evening when they host Black Power FC at the AbaBet Greenlight Stadium, Arua.

Calvary won their first game of the season when they defeated Kataka 1-0 in Arua, while their opponents, Black Power suffered a 3-1 loss to Arua Hill at the Barifa Grounds.

On the same day, Arua Hill SC who defeated Black Power will still be at Barifa Grounds when they entertain Kataka FC.

On Sunday, we shall have 6 games, two of these in the Elgon Group, while four will be in the Rwenzori Group.

Paidha Black Angels who suffered a humiliating 3-0 to Maroons in their first game of the season at the Luzira Playgrounds will seek a first victory when they play host to Mbale Heroes. Mbale Heroes were narrowly beaten by Gadaffi courtesy of a Joel Madondo goal.

In the last game in the Elgon Group, Gadaffi and Maroons (the two sides who won their first matches) will battle out at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe. Gadaffi defeated Mbale Heroes while Maroons hammered Paidha Black Angels.

Proline, who scored the most goals on matchday one will take on Tooro United at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo. Hakim Kiwanuka, Diego Hamis Kizza, Nicholas Sebwato and Rogers Mato were on target when Proline hit the ground running fast when they defeated Kigezi Home Boys at Lugogo.

Tooro United were winners at the Buhinga Stadium, Fort portal when coach Edward Golola guided the “Entare Za Tooro” to a 2-1 victory over Water FC.

Ndejje University, who drew goalless with Nyamityobora will battle out for their first win of the season against Tiles and Terrazo at the Arena of Visions. Tiles and Terrazo picked up a vital point in Luwero when they played out to a goalless stalemate with Luwero United.

Two sides who drew first games, Nyamityobora and Luwero United will battle against each other in Luwero, while two losers on the first day, Water FC and Kigezi HomeBoys will be at the Kavumba Recreation Center, Wakiso with either side looking for a first win.
