Having both the men’s side(Cricket Cranes) and female side (Victoria Pearls) finish their respective tournaments as Champions and runners-up respectively Cricket will headline all the sports at the Fortebet Real star awards of the Month of June as Consy Aweko, Henry Ssenyondo and Raziat Ali are all nominated.
The monthly awards in conjuction with Fortebet, Canaan Soda and Jude color solutions choose the Cream dela cream of June on Tuesday 4th July at Lazio restaurant in Lugogo from six(6) sports disciplines which include; Cricket, Handball, Motor Cross, Table tennis, Special Olympics and Rally
Henry Ssenyondo and Raziat Ali lead the cue in Cricket since they were instrumental as the Cricket Cranes won the Continental T20 Cup in Kenya. For Consy Aweko the Victoria Pearls captain, she put in a shift despite side losing to the host Rwanda at 9th edition of the Kwibuka series tournament.
In the rally category, it will be a question of who will take the Rally accolade home as all the three monster pairs of drivers will be at it again but this time around in the race for the June Real Stars Award
Yasin Nasser and Ali Katumba who came out on top at the Hoima Rally, Posiano Lwakataka and Paul Musaazi who returned to the Podium at the same competition and Ibrahim Lubega( Pasuwa) and Ibrahim Sserwoga who posted a time loss of two hours, 10.49 minutes to finish fifth at the Pearl of Africa rally in Jinja.
In the special olympics category, swimmer Larry Feni who won a gold medal at the 2023 edition of the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin will be up against Praise Odoi who show cased her athletic prowess securing a bronze medal in the 50m level B freestyle and Cleopatra Rhabaha, a tennis player who won a silver medal in the same competition.
In the other Categories, Parvin Nangonzi will battle it out with both Samuel Anukunda and Benjamin Achuma in Table tennis as youngsters Gift Ssebuguzi, Hellena Birungi and Miguel Katende will go up against each other to see who clintches the top prize in the Motorcross category.
The winner of the award goes home will a cash prize and an accolade courtsey of Jude color solutions.
