Uganda’s U17 national women head coach Ayub Khalifa is optimistic his side can pick up a win against Tanzania on Saturday, 14th March.
His team lost 2-1 to Tanzania at the National Staduim in Dar es Salaam in FIFA U-17 women worldcup first leg qualifying game and will hope to overturn the score in Kampala when the two side meet again for the second leg at the Startimes Staduim, Lugogo.
Fauzia Najjemba scored the only away goal for Uganda before Aisha Masaka brace gave Tanzania a first leg advantage.
The Ayub Khalifa coached side resumed training on Wednesday morning after having a 2-day recovery period and the gaffer is confident his girls will pick up a win in the second leg if they can work on the problems.
We are going to work on the mistakes we made in the first led and am confident if we can work on them, we shall get a win come 14th March 2020
Ayub Khalifa boldly affirmed.
The aggregate winner after the second leg will progress to play either San Tome or Cameroon in the final qualification round ahead of the 2020 FIFA U-17 women’s world cup in India.
