FAU, FUFA join to skill Uganda’s futsal coaches

The Futsal Association Uganda ( FAU) and the Federation of Uganda Football Association ( FUFA) have joined hands to offer skills to futsal coaches.

FAU together with FUFA have organized a FUFA Futsal Beginners Coaches course which scheduled to begin on 26th June and end on 30th June at the FUFA SIG offices in Mengo

The 40-hour course is aimed at enriching coaches with theory and practical aspects of the game of Futsal.

“Futsal is all about flair and skill in executing the games tactical aspects. Hence FAU working hand in hand with FUFA has seen it a neccessity to train coaches so as they are able to teach the aspects of the game to the futsal players” FAU chairman Hamzah Jjunju said while making the announcement.

“The journey to be a stand out as a futsal coach starts at one attaining the FUFA Futsal Beginners Coaching certificate.More levels of one being a top-notch futsal coach are to be accomplished in phases.

“With having many teachers of the futsal game in place, the future of the game in Uganda will be bright”

Deadline for registration and payment in order to attend this course has been set on 15th June, inorder to enable smooth running of the program.

This coaching course is the second course FAU and FUFA are organizing together, following the successful MA Futsal Referees course in 2022 where over 17 Elite Referees turned up.

Futsal has been one of the fast growing sport in Uganda since it’s establishment in 2015. Four league seasons have sofar been played and a couple of futsal players have made a grade up in the last couple of years to play for the Uganda National Football Team, The Uganda Cranes
