Seven-time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC have completed the capture of Anwar Mustafa Ntege from Busoga United.
The forward has put pen to paper on a two-year employment contract until the end of the 2023/24 season.
This was made official on Tuesday afternoon by the club on their website.
“Ugandan center forward Anwar Mustafa Ntege has penned a 2 year contract with the Red Eagles which will see him at the club up to 2024.” part of the statement published on the Express Website read.
“I am excited to join Express FC, I have been a club fan, and I desire to help the club meet it’s targets and also looking forward to being one of the top scorers in the league.” Anwaru Ntege told the club media.
Ntege has been impressive for the Jinja based side in the two seasons, helping the side over relegation in both seasons
He had 12 goals and 5 assists in 26 appearance for Busoga United last season.
The forward has also previously featured for Ndejje University and URA FC
Ntege comes in as Eric Kambale’s replacement and becomes the team’s seventh new addition this window after Benjamin Gakumba, David Lukwago, Hassan Mubiru, Kada Bitakazibwa, Joseph Dhata and Andrew Kaggwa.
The Wakulukuku based side has also lost a couple of senior players this window that includes Murushid Juuko, John Byamukama, Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Sadiq Ssekyembe and Deus Bukenya.
