Emirates Invitational 7s: Uganda pitted with Argentina, Japan and Canada in the Red Pool


The Uganda Rugby Sevens men’s team has been pitted in the Red Pool with Argentina, Japan and Canada ahead of the Emirates Invitational 7s tournament in Dubai.

Uganda will play Argentina early in the morning before taking on Canada and finishing with Japan in their last pool game of the day.

Uganda was selected among the 14 international teams to participate in the two Emirates Invitational 7s tournaments which are set to kick off on Friday morning at the Emirates Sevens Stadium in Dubai.

Twelve players and 3 officials travelled to the United Arab Emirates capital last Friday for a two-week training camp and these include two competitive tournaments aimed at supporting the 14 invited teams prepare for the Tokyo Olympics.

  • Argentina vs Uganda at 10:58am (Dubai Time)
  • Canada vs Uganda at 3:22pm (Dubai Time)
  • Japan vs Uganda at 5:12pm (Dubai Time)
