Elvis Okello Bwomono: Ugandan defender set to extend his stay at Southend United


Uganda Cranes defender Elvis Okello Bwomono is set to extend his contract at English National league side Southend United in the next coming days.

Bwomono was one of the most important players for Southend as they were relegated from the English league two and the Shrimpers  are conscious of his importance and thus want to secure as soon as possible the renewal of his contract, which was set to terminate at the end of June.

Last season, the 22-year old fullback featured in 43 games for Southend in all competitions, netting twice and assisting his teammates thrice..

Bwomono has been at the Shrimpers since he was 14-years old and has gone on to feature in 133 games in total over five years.

For Uganda, he has featured in two games since he was handed his debut in November 2020 against South Sudan.
