Diaspora: Luwagga Kizito inspires Hapoel past Maccabi Netanya

Ugandan winger William Luwagga Kizito scored the only goal as Hapoel Hfar Saba FC narrowly won 1-0 against Maccabi Natanya FC in the relegation round of the Israeli Premier League.

With 38 minutes on the clock, Luwagga slotted home the first and only goal of the game to earn his Kfar Saba side a hard-fought three points.

Hapoel now sits 5th with 38 points on the relegation round table of the Israeli premier league with 33 games played.

Meanwhile, Timothy Awanyi’s Ashdod FC won 3-1 against Hapoel Hadera at Yud Alef Stadium to take them second on the table with 41 points.

Sagiv Jehezkel, Shlomi Azulay, and Idan Dahan scored the goals for Ashdod FC.
