Diaspora: How Ugandan professionals fared over the weekend

It’s another weekend of promising performances by Uganda professionals across the globe. As always, we present to you an insight on how they fared in their respective leagues.

In Turkey, Farouk Miya grabbed an assist as his Konyaspor side lost 2-3 at home against Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super League.

In Estonia, Edrisa Lubega once again found the back of the net twice and helped his side Paide Linnameeskond register a 4-2 win over Levadia Tallinn in the Estonia Premium Liiga.

In Tanzania, Boban Ziruntusa started the game and scored all goals as Mtibwa Sugar won 2-1 against Ruvu Shooting in the Vodacom Premier League.

Nicholas Wadada started and played full-time as his side Azam FC drew 2-2 away from home with Tanzania Prisons.

Seiri Arigumaho’s Singida Utd lost 2-0 against Biashara Mara United in the Vodacom premier league.

In Zambia, Shafiq Bakaki wasn’t in the matchday squad as his Zanaco FC side drew 0-0 against Nkwazi FC in the MTN Zambia Premier League.

In Denmark, Moses Opondo started on the bench and came on in the 39th minute, replacing Ryan Johnson Laursen as his Odense Boldklub drew 1-1 with AC Horsens to book a spot in the Europa playoff final in the Danish Super Liga.

Midfielder Robert Kakeeto played full-time as his side Aalborg FC defeated Midtjylland 2-1.

In England, Jordan Obita was one of the 5 players that were released by Reading FC on Saturday after the end of 2019/20 English Championship season.

In Sweden, Ritah Kivumbi played full-time as her side Mallbacken W IF defeated Sandvikens W 3-2 in the Swedish Elitettan Women league.

In Vietnam, Kizito Baba wasn’t in the Matchday squad as his side Than Quang Ninh claimed a 2-0 victory over SLNA Club in the V-league.

Joseph Mpande captained Haiphong FC to a 1-all draw against Hóng Lính Hà Tính in Vietnam Premier League.
