Diaspora: How Ugandan professionals abroad fared in the last weekend before the international break

It was the last game week ahead of the November international break for most of the major football leagues across the globe and a couple of Ugandan professionals were in action for their respective clubs.

This is how they fared over the weekend;

Starting off in England, Striker Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru was absent from the matchday squad as Middlesbourg drew 1-all with Westbrom in the English Championship.

In the FA Cup, Jordan Obita played full-time as Wycombe Wanderers drew 2-all with Hartlepool, while Elvis Bwomono missed out due to an injury as Southend United lost 3-1 to Chesterfield

In Scotland, Bevis Mugabi featured full time and got yellow-carded as Motherwell FC secured a 2-0 victory over Aberdeen FC in the Scottish Premiership.

In Ireland, Melvyn Lorezen was an unused substitute as Sligo Rovers beat St. Patrick Athletic 3-0 in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

In Sweden, both Isak Ssewakambo and Ronald Mukiibi were absent as Ostersunds FK lost 3-0 to AIK the Swedish Allsvenskan.

In the Swedish Elitetan, Ritah Kivumbi was a second half substitute as  Mallbacken IF lost 1-0 to Uppsala.

In Denmark, Moses Opondo featured for 62 minutes as Odense Boldkub lost 2-1 to Brondby in the Danish SuperLiga.

In Portugal, Edrisa Lubega was still out with an injury as his Estrella da Amaddora drew 2-all with Vilafranquense in the Portuguese LigaPro.

In Serbia, Pius Obuya featured full time as his side, IF Kabel lost 3-0 to Indija in the Serbian Prva Liga.

In the Czech Republic, Isaac Muleme featured full-time as his side, Viktoria Zizkov lost 1-0 to  Prostejov in the Czech Republic National Football League.

In South Africa, Denis Onyango was absent from the matchday squad as Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Gallants 4-0 in the DSTV Premiership.

Moses Waiswa Ndondi was an unused substitute as Supersports United secured a 2-1 victory over Ts Galaxy while also Isma Watenga was unused for Chippa United as they drew goalless with Maritzburg United.

In Congo, Joseph Ochaya featured full time as TP Mazembe secured a 3-0 loss to Lubumbashi Sport  in the Congolese Linafoot.

In Zambia, both Shafik Batambuze and Hashim Ssempala featured as Kabwe Warriors defeated Keziron Kizito’s Buildcon FC 2-0 in the Zambian Premier League.

In Kenya, Deogracious Ojok was introduced on in the 70th minute for Osok as Tusker lost 3-0 to Kariobangi Sharks in FKF Premier League.

Still in FKF Premier League, Both William Wadri and Umar Kasumba started for Bandari United as they drew 1-all with Kakamenga HomeBoys.

In USA, Mustafa Kizza was introduced on for Mathieu Choinière in the 76th minute as his side Montreal Impact lost 2-0 to Orlando City in the Major League Soccer while Edward Kizza never made it to the matchday squad as New England Revolution lost 1-0 to Inter Miami.

In Isreal, Timothy Awanyi featured full-time while Fahad Bayo was out suspended as their Ashdod SC drew 1-all with Hapoel Beer-Sheva in the Isreal Premier League.

In Algeria, Allan Okello featured for Paradou AC as they lost 3-1 to CR Belouizdad in the Algeria Ligue 1.
