The CECAFA U18 championship 2023 group stages have been conducted by the CECAFA competitions director, Yussuf Mossi at the FUFA Technical Center,Njeru, Uganda
Uganda is in group B with Tanzania, Zanzibar, South Sudan.
Group A consists of the Kenya( hosts), Rwanda, Somalia and Sudan.
Djibouti Football Federation withdrew from the tournament but were earlier been put in group A alongside Kenya, Somalia, Rwanda and Sudan.
The best two teams from each group will automatically qualify for the semi finals.
The tournament will start on 25th November upto 9th December.
The tournament will be played in two towns which will include Kisumu and Kakamega however the semifinal and the final will solely be staged in Kisumu.
Uganda already announced a provisional squad of 32 players that will respect the country in the regional championship.
