The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the dates and released the registration criteria to be followed during the 2020/21 inter-club competitions.
On Tuesday evening, Africa’s football governing body announced that the CAF Content Management System (CMS) criteria will be used in the registration of all participating clubs in both the CAF Confederation Cup and the CAF Champions League.
The registration of all eligible participants will take place from October to November 2020, with the first phase of registration scheduled for the 21st October to 5th November, while the second phase will take place between 6th and 19th November 2020.
The first leg of both the preliminary rounds of the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League will take place between 20th and 22nd November 2020, while second leg games are scheduled for the following weekend.
CAF also noted that clubs that fail to meet the set criteria will be denied entry into the 2020/21 Champions League and Confederation Cup.
Uganda will be represented by Vipers SC in the CAF Champions League, having emerged as 2019-20 StarTimes UPL champions, while KCCA FC will be Uganda’s representative in the Confederation Cup after being selected by FUFA to represent the nation due to failure to complete the Uganda Cup.
