CAF Confederation Cup: URA convincingly defeat Ethiopia Coffee to book date with Al Masry

Ugandan side, Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club have defeated Ethiopian Coffee in Bahir Dar Stadium, Ethiopia to book a date with Egypt Al Masry in the penultimate round  of the CAF Confederation Cup.

URA edged Ethiopian Coffee 3-1 on the day and 5-2 on aggregate to progress to the next round.

Coming into the second leg, the Ugandan side held a 2-1 advantage and just needed to avoid defeat to progress, but they did much to win and complete the double with Ethiopian Coffee.

Cromwell Rwothomio, Shafik Kagimu and Ashraf Madela were on target for the Tax Collectors in the comfortable win.

Rwothomio netted URA opener in the 40th minutes to give his side a well deserved halftime lead.

Right back Madela extended the Tax Collectors lead in the 52th minute before captain Kagimu put the game to bed with the third.

The hosts, Ethiopian Coffee pulled a goal back later on in the game but it was so little too late for them.

With the impressive victory,  Express will play Al Masry in the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup that will be played between 15tg and 17th October.
