CAF Champions League : Vipers taught painful lesson in Morocco by Raja Casablanca

StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have been taught a painful lesson in Morocco by Raja Casablanca.

This is after the Venoms suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat to the Moroccan giants at Stade Mohammed V on their debut in the CAF Champions League group stages.

Raja’s five goals were scored by Hamza Khabba, Jamal Harkass, Roger Aholou, Yousri Bouzok and Mohamed Zrida. But both Khabba and Harkass goals should be blamed on Vipers SC goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza who was awful for the visitors in the opening half.

Vipers, who played most of the game at the back-foot had only their goalscoring chance in the opening half when a brilliant Martin Kizza free kick was easily saved Anas Zniti, the Raja goalkeeper.

After enduring a painful defeat to Raja Casablanca, Vipers will hope for a better result next week when they host Horoya AC in Uganda.

Horoya AC hosts Simba SC in their first game of the group stages on Saturday evening.
