Vipers set to face African giant in International friendly

Vipers are set play an international friendly game against African giants Mamelodi Sundowns at the University of Pretoria – TUKS Stadium in South Africa.

Sundowns is home to former Uganda Cranes skipper Dennis Masinde Onyango and they have won 16 Premier Soccer League (PSL) titles and one CAF Champions League

The game will be played on the evening of Wednesday 16th August in-order to prepare for the fresh 2023/24 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League.

Vipers will hope to get a clear picture on how to get to this edition’s group stages as they prepare to face South African outfit in Orlando Pirates.

Four days later, the Venoms will take on Botswana outfit Jwaneng Galaxy in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

In the act to complete the tie, they will play the return leg as they face the same option on Sunday encounter at the National Stadium in Gaborone.
